Exclusivity and conditional giving
Christians, Muslims, Jews(Manashe, Bene-Israel), Zoroastrians have been living happily in India for more than thousand years. Hindus always respected them and their religion and never tried to convert them because Hindus have the utmost respect for other religions.
Hindus never claim exclusivity.
If all the Christian missionaries of the world are allowed to go to any nation in the world with a condition that they may help the poor and oppressed as much as they wish but they will not be allowed to proselytize. Will they agree? Will they come and help in spite of that?
The answer is no. They will simply disappear. Why? Because their giving is conditional. It is a mere business transaction. They are selling Jesus. They expect surrender to Christianity in return. Unconditional giving does not expect anything in return.

There’s no better way to start the year than an extended mission trip to the Himalayas! This time it’ll be 2 back to back pastors/youth leaders conferences in Siliguri then in Nepal. 2 guys helping to take this photo were Samuel Teo and Caleb Chong, my 2 beloved mentees who came to send us off.
We arrived in Kathmandu and was greeted by the unusually cold weather. I clearly wasn’t prepared for it. Thank God for a teammate who blessed me with a new jacket! Unloading luggage helped warm me up.
Early next morning, we took a domestic flight out from Kathmandu to the border of Nepal. Tiny propeller planes let you feel every single turbulence. Tibetan Buddhist monk sitting in front of my – hair reminds me of Todd White!
After a few more hours crossing the borders of India-Nepal via land crossing by car, we finally reached Siliguri and started our first night of the 3-day conference. Pastor John preached the first night and the last night. The rest of the time, we ministered to the pastors and the youth leaders separately.
The hunger of the youths drew the intensity of His presence. One night, when I was handed the mike to minister to them, the Lord told me ‘Kenny, you have 10 mins to preach because I want to move.’ I preached on blind Bartimaeus casting away his cloak and ran to Jesus. When that 10 min was up, the electric lights in that place literally flickered! I knew my time was up. I got them to stand up to get ready to receive the wave of His love. Suddenly, coming from behind me, a wave of His Spirit swept through the room and the people started to weep and laugh and experience the love of God. Waves and waves went on for an hour.
The boy facing the camera in the red jacket was actually a full-time monk in the temple beside the Church. Hearing singing, he walked into the church and joined us. That day when the waves of God’s love hit, he started to weep loudly, seeing visions of Jesus coming to him. He gave his life to God that day.
In this session, we taught them hearing God’s voice. Now they are prophesying over one another 🙂 Yes, His children can and should be able to hear His voice every single day.
